What is Etifine(Etizolam)?

Etifine (Etizolam) is a drug that is used for the treatment of anxiety and depression and is a commonly prescribed medicine for people suffering from the same. The drug resembles the benzodiazepine meds available in the market. The main constituent of this medicine is Etizolam but the chemical structure of this is unlike other benzodiazepines. The structure has a thiophenic ring in comparison to the other benzodiazepines. Hence we can say that this thieno diazepine has the same characteristics as that of benzodiazepines.

Comprising of Etizolam, it is a thienotriazolodiazepine. Which in itself is an analog of benzodiazepines. How to take Etifine for treating Anxiety?

The medication needs to be taken as per the doctor’s prescription and special instruction by the doctor needs to be followed in order to treat oneself properly.

The first and foremost concern is the timing. The time constraint needs to be taken care of while treatment.

It is usually suggested to be taken at a particular fixed time if a person suffers from normal anxiety or panic attacks. The medicine need not be chewed by the patient and can be taken directly into the stomach with plain water.

• Cetirizine
• Disulfiram
• Morphine

• Ketoconazole
• Clonidine
• Clozapine

• Glaucoma: it is a condition where the human optic nerve is damaged and is usually affected by adults. If you use Etifine(Etizolam) while suffering from Glaucoma it might have a harsh impact on your condition
• Pulmonary insufficiency

A person suffering from pulmonary inefficiency can face severe breathing problems if using Etifine and it might also prove fatal in many cases.

• Liver Diseases

Liver diseases might be directly affected if the intake of Etifine is in a particular human body and hence needs to be monitored well by the doctor.

Now, apart from the above-mentioned points, there are certain precautions that need to be taken ore you opt for Etifine as your anxiety treatment.

• Grapefruit juice is not considered good if a person happens to have Etifine in his/her body.
• Alcohol can not be consumed adjacently
• Pregnant and breastfeeding women should avoid Etifine.

• While using Etifine, any other antidepressant needs to be avoided.
